Perfect solution to my problems

I read the "Can You Write a Letter Like This One?"
supposedly by William Bonner (and now I wonder
who really wrote it. Not that William Bonner couldn't --
the letter he wrote about 20 years ago to promote
his newsletter INTERNATIONAL LIVING is still
the control. I was sent it a few months ago.

But I presume that the owner of Agora Publishing
has a lot more to do with his time these days
than write sales letters for what I assume is
a side business for him, and a small one
compared to the income his many newsletters and
other businesses such as the development in
Nicaraugua bring him.

Though, who knows? Maybe he still writes sales
letters just for fun or to keep his hand in.

OK, the important part of that letter is the picture
it paints of the life of a successful direct mail
copywriter.

Make oodles of money.

Live where you want.

Great demand for good copy.

Back when I first read about copywriting, many
years ago, nobody told me it was a multi-100K
annual income.

Or that I could live where I wanted.

I wouldn't have listened back then, anyway. I had to
learn the hard way.

Now, I'm ready. I've been working hard to learn how
to get rich for years. Haven't succeeded yet, but
I've learned a lot along the way.

And live where I want? Basically, anywhere in the
world with a connection to the Internet?

Now, you're talking. I want to travel, not be tied
down. That's why I still resist the idea of getting
rich through real estate. I don't want tenants
and a lot of hassles.

My ideal life would be hanging out on a tropical
beach most days, traveling to luxury resorts when
I felt the urge.

And it hit me -- copywriting was the perfect vocation
for me.

I'm a writer -- a good one. As I wrote before, just
give me the format and I can write to it.

So why couldn't I learn the format of a direct mail
salesletter? I could.

Make $100-500K per year? I'm ready. I wasn't years
ago, but I am now.

I just needed a vehicle. Now I had one that was
particularly suited to my talent and experience.
