More mail

This item comes from a company that seems to be going
after Agora. I get a lot of investment promotions
from them, but done in a low-budget way. And while
I don't know how they're pulling, I can't see how
they're doing well. Most need a lot of re-writing.

This one is to sell a book "The Only Stock You'll
Need to Own for the Next 10 Years." for $95.

I get a ton of stock tip type of mailers all
telling me about great stocks. Why would anyone
pay $95 for a book to tell them about another
great stock. Maybe it is a terrific stock, but
to pay $95 for the name of it.

The package is a simple 2 page 8 X 14 letter,
including the order device. The most compelling
argument is that Citibank and Barclays are
loading up on this stock and the institutions
never lose money. I suspect that's news to
their accounting departments. Plus they give
some info on how sales are increasing, etc.

But nothing concrete. No real emotional
appeal. And again, I get zillions of stock
tips for free and can get zillions more from
the financial press if I wanted.
